All Things Missouri is a free, online platform designed to support decision-makers in accessing, analyzing, and visualizing data about their communities. Our goal is to provide trusted, up-to-date data that helps local governments, nonprofits, businesses, and other sectors across the state make better, more data-informed decisions.

All Things Missouri was created and is maintained by the University of Missouri Extension Center for Applied Research and Engagement Systems (CARES).

The Missouri Map Room

  • Hosts over 33,000 mappable data layers from national, state, and local sources covering topics like education, the economy, environment, agriculture, health, and demographics. 
  • Provides data at state, county, ZIP code, census tract, school district, and legislative district levels 
  • Gives special access to MU faculty and staff to upload and save maps and data

  • Provides access to pre-selected indicators related to Agriculture and Environment; Business and Community; Health and Safety; and Youth and Family in Missouri 
  • Allows you to create robust county-level assessments by following a quick, three-step process
  • Creates easy-to-understand data visualizations and provides data broken down by race, ethnicity, age, gender, employment status, educational attainment and more
  • Includes state and national benchmarks, source information, and release dates
  • Supports the ability to download, share, and export reports 
  • Allows MU faculty and staff to create multi-county and ZIP-level reports
