Small Area Health Insurance Estimates (SAHIE)

Layers update the Small Area Health Insurance Estimates (SAHIE) from the U.S. Census Bureau for the year 2011. In addition to udpating the county information, new data was added at the state level including racial breakdowns for populations without insurance.

Religions in the United States

Layers display information about the prevalence of membership in certain religious traditions. Custom data analysis by CARES includes predominant religion and religious diversity by county.

Student Test Scores

Layers display information about student performance on 4th and 8th grade English Language Arts and Math standardized tests. Data available by school district for the 2010-11 school year.

Theil Index: Racial Diversity

Layer displays information about racial segregation using the Theil index. This index measures the “eveness” of all races across the county based on the racial composition of the population at the block group level.
